A Phenomenal Stride Towards Environmental Sustainability

My daughter, Karin, graduated from MICDS, a private (NAIS) school in St. Louis County.   For seven years, I was the librarian of the Middle and Upper School Library of MI.  The two schools completed the gender mix the year after we left.  I cannot adequately express my veneration for this school.  Receiving this honor verifies my extraordinary pleasure and pride in MICDS.

The particulars of why this new building received the platinum level of the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) recognition can be read in this St. Louis Dispatch article as well as in this description of the building.  The STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) curriculum is taught within these walls.
