How to Warm a Winter Day

Good morning from CHQ ❄️ #chautauqua #iloveny

The Episcopal Chapel on the grounds of Chautauqua Institution stands with a blanket of snow warming the souls of the viewers.

Chautauqua gives me my annual injection of culture overload.

Billy Collins, a favorite contemporary poet who blends humor with pathos, has lectured at Chautauqua Institution a few times in recent summers.

“A Prairie Home Companion” has provided this YouTube of Mr. Collins reading a few of his inimitable poems:  The Lucky Cat / 1960 / The Suggestion Box / To My Favorite 17-Year-Old High School Girl.  Warm your soul with a blanket of Collins’ whimsical writing!
